Amy Waring
Amy was first drawn to attend a yoga class in London as a teenager, where, transpiring to be the best thing for her, that one hour sparked an ongoing journey of learning and discovery for the next 25 years. As yoga increasingly became her ‘home base’, and was pivotal in her recovery from chronic pain following an injury, she took the step to become a yoga teacher and share the profoundly beautiful practice with others.
After completing her Yoga Alliance 200 hour and British Wheel of Yoga Accredited certificates in 2013 and ’14, and taking further training in therapeutic yoga, she taught in various settings; community centres, studios, in a hospital, and corporate offices, and went on to become a teacher trainer at Teach Yoga in London before its closure during covid. This included teaching CPD modules on yoga for joint health and arthritis.
Over the past 9 years, Amy has visited India where she has had the privilege to meet and learn from Yogis of the Himalayan tradition. Finding her second home in the spiritual heart of Rishikesh, she is honoured to be an ambassador for MPY.
Amy currently focuses on teaching within local services, her private practice, and retreats. Rooted in the tradition of Hatha yoga, her approach blends anatomical precision with creative sequencing; weaving through static and fluid postural expressions with the breath—helping to reconnect to one’s natural rhythm, and foster ease and expansion through an accessible, nourishing, and sustainable practice.
