Do you want to explore Yoga, stay physically and mentally fit and grow spiritually? If yes, our 100 hour Yoga Course is made for you. Whether you want to establish or deepen your own Yoga practice or whether you consider Yoga as a career, our short-term Yoga programme will introduce you to traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga.

This yoga teacher training is a multi-style program for beginners with basic knowledge of yoga. The course is packed with information and activities that will leave you wanting for more at the end of the programme. It will help you to build your Yoga foundation base, gain confidence and bring your yoga journey to new heights.

After completing the course, students will receive a certificate from Maharishi Yoga Peeth School. This 100-hour yoga teacher training course will be performed by a team of experienced meditation guides and expert yoga teachers.

Our curriculum is certified by Yoga Alliance USA. If you intend to become a Yoga teacher, this course will cover the first 100 hours of a 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training.

What you will learn

Yogic Kriya (Cleansing Procedures)

Yogic cleansing practices will be integrated into your daily morning routine and will work in conjunction with the asana practices. These will purify the nervous system, remove toxins from your body and allow your breath to flow freely throughout the body.

Pranayama

Traditional yogic breathing techniques which will benefit your yoga practice as you learn how to lengthen your breath.

  • Breathing adjustment of body movement with different types of kumbhakas
  • Kapalbhati
  • Nadi shuddhi

Anatomy

You will learn anatomy relevant to Yoga in order to strengthen the classroom explanations, cues and corrections of asanas.

Yoga Philosophy

This class will focus on introducing you to the basic philosophy, concepts and history of Yoga. It will cover the various traditional philosophies and viewpoints, insights from modern research and ways in which the essence of this holistic approach can be integrated into a modern lifestyle.

Meditation

Meditation techniques help build concentration and focus in your daily practice.

  • Trataka
Spiritual activities

6 hours are reserved for spiritual activities like tuning in with nature, a bath in the holy river Ganga, visiting Himalayan heights, ancient yogic places both indoor and outdoor.

Good to know

Our programme is suitable both for beginners who want to learn about Yoga and for practicioners who aspire to become a Yoga teacher. There are no restrictions based on age, education, religion, gender, country or previous experiences. You don’t need to be especially strong or flexible, this will come with practice.

On top of the 100 hours yoga teacher training course, you will get: accomodation, food, tea, cleansing process materials, coursebooks and a Yoga Alliance International Registered certificate by the end of the course.

We have Yoga mats available in our schools, however we always recommend bringing your own Yoga mat for hygienic reasons. Please also consider checking the weather reports for the season and location you intend to book and bring suitable clothing. We also recommend bringing a notebook and pens for classes as well as a refillable water bottle.

Our courses will be held in english, however one doesn’t need to be an advanced english speaker. Yoga connects through spirit and emotions and all exercises will be shown in a practical way.

Sundays will be without classes and you will have some hours of free time during the day. However, we recommend to use your free time during the course for self-study and rest. If you’re interested in activities in the area, we recommend to do these before or after the Yoga Teacher Training course.

At Maharishi Yoga Peeth, we want to ensure best quality teaching for you. Therefore our classes are not bigger than 15 students for 200 hour yoga course, 10 student for 300 hour yoga course and 5 students for 500 hour course.

Usually, international travel regulations ask for a visa to travel to India, meanwhile regulations in Bali are slightly more relaxed. Please check your own authorities to make sure you get up to date information. Make sure your visa ensures enough time to complete the course.

To become an internationally certified yoga teacher, you should complete a 200 hour yoga teacher training as per the guidelines of Yoga Alliance USA. Our 100 hour yoga teacher training course is only covering the first two weeks of the 200 hour yoga teacher training course. If you want to complete the 200 hour course at some point, the first 100 hours of your previous course will be taken into account, leaving you to complete another 100 hours for the 200 hours certificate.
